Access to the library is allowed only with advance reservation. For this purpose please consult the library catalogue (LOGIN, BOOK RESERVATION, LOCATION SCHEDULING) at: http://www.liberty.umfcluj.ro
If the reservation is not validated, through physical presence at the library, it would be cancelled (after half an hour – during the session and after one hour – outside the session).
Seat bookings are valid for a maximum of 7 days (e.g. Monday to Sunday, Tuesday to Monday, etc.). Even if the program allows for a longer period they will be cancelled later.

The categories of library users are:
- students of the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca
- professors of the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj Napoca and PhD students, residents
- external users ( physicians working in the health network, professors in other educational institutions, nurses, students – in the field of life sciences, students – in the last year of high school etc.)
- Acces to the library is based on a library card. The card is issued on arrival, with the exception of external users, on the basis of a request approved by the library director. The library card is non-transferable. The card must be handed in every time a library service is used.
- The library card is issued free of charge or in return for a fee on the basis of the following documents:
For students:
- student card or book record
- identity card
*The library card is valid for the entire period of study
For professors:
- work card
- identity card
* The library card is permanent and remains valid after retirement
For PhD students:
- a document proving that you are a PhD candidate
- identity card
* The library card is issued for one academic year and may be renewed. * In case of loss or damage, a new card will be provided for a fee of 25 lei.
For resident doctors:
- document proving the status of resident doctor
- identity card
- the receipt for payment of the corresponding fee of 60 lei
* The legitimation is issued for one calendar year, with the possibility of renewal.
For external users – the attached form must be completed. Applications can also be submitted online at: bibliotecaumf@umfcluj.ro

*The library card is issued for one calendar year and allows the use of all library services for one year after issue.
*If the use of the library is sporadic, only once, and an annual subscription is not desired, a monthly fee of 15 lei can be paid, but without the possibility of borrowing at home.
*One month before the beginning of the session and during the examination session, library cards are not issued or extended for external users.
In order to avoid additional waiting time when issuing your card, at the beginning of the academic year please pre-register using the link below:

The card will then be issued by library staff based on the data entered during pre-registration.
