HRS4R procedure at UMPhIH

UMPhIH promotes excellence in research and education and provides research support services for students, academic staff, partners and collaborators, to ensure continuous progress and innovation in the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences and to increase the quality of life of patients.
UMPhIH’s intention to adhere to C&C
By means of the project ”PROGRES” – ”INCREASING SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PERFORMANCE, SUSTAINING EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH AND INNOVATION IN MEDICINE” – an institutional development project, funding excellence in Research, Development and Innovation (funding contract no.40PFE/30.12.2021), UMPhIH aims to implement a HR strategy for researchers in line with C&C principles.
Starting the alignment process
April 2022 – Acceptance of the Endorsement letter at the European Commission
Initial phase
May 2022-May 2023 – Preparation and submission of initial phase documents: GAP Analysis Charter and Code Checklist 2023, OTM-R Checklist 2023 and Action Plan 2023
June 2023 – EC evaluators’ response: “Pending major revision”
July 2023-May 2024 – As suggested by the EC evaluators, the consultation campaign with the academic community was redesigned with the support of experts. The internal survey included a questionnaire-based survey, followed by qualitative data collection through individual interviews and focus groups. After data collection, the results were included in a Report on the Consultation Process, which formed the basis for the document preparation. The revised documents: GAP Analysis Charter and Code Checklist (GAP Analysis Charter and Code Checklist 2024), OTM-R checklist (OTM-R Checklist 2024), Action plan (Action Plan 2024), were approved by the Board of Directors on 20 May 2024 and sent to the European Commission for assessment.
August 2024 – EC Consensus Report: “Pending minor modifications”
