Master of Science in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) has become one of the fastest-growing fields in healthcare, supporting evidence-based decision-making across clinical practice, healthcare policy, reimbursement, and pharmaceutical innovation.
The MSc in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, is designed to prepare professionals capable of evaluating the value, effectiveness, and impact of healthcare interventions in increasingly complex health systems.
The programme combines health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, and real-world evidence to provide students with the analytical skills needed to inform healthcare decisions at local, national, and international levels.

Fees And Tuition
Master’s Admissions – September 2026
Admission to the HEOR Master’s programme will take place in September 2026. Applications must be submitted online via a dedicated application platform, which will be announced shortly. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of RON 500. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the admission process.
Successful applicants admitted to the Master’s programme will be required to pay an annual tuition fee of RON 5,500. Any tuition fee reductions are granted in accordance with the UMFIH’s Regulations.
How to Pay the Application Fee
You have two options for paying the application fee:
- In Person: Pay by cash or card at the Dean’s Office Cashier’s desk (Str. L. Pasteur, no. 6). The hours are from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Bank Transfer: Use the following bank details to make a transfer. It is crucial to list your full name on the payment order, not the name of the person making the payment. The payment description should be „First Name, Last Name + ADMISSION MASTER MEDICINE 2025.”
