Academic staff, young researchers and PhD students are invited to participate in the NeurotechEU Business Winter School 2026 – “From Research to Use Case: Translating Neurotechnology into Real-World Impact”, which will take place from 23 to 27 November 2026 in Bonn, Germany.
Organised within the NeurotechEU alliance by the University of Bonn, Reykjavík University and Radboud University, the Winter School aims to explore how neurotechnology research, clinical challenges and scientific ideas can be transformed into practical applications, collaborations and innovation opportunities.
The programme will combine workshops, mentoring and interdisciplinary activities and will cover topics such as:
- developing a research project into a concrete use case;
- identifying needs and analysing stakeholders;
- science-based entrepreneurship;
- intellectual property, funding and investor readiness;
- collaboration with industry and translation into clinical practice;
- responsible innovation in neurotechnology;
- developing and presenting a final pitch to experts.
Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams, either building on their own research ideas or addressing challenges proposed by partners from industry, clinical settings or research groups.
