The Women of NeurotechEU: Empower, Lead, Innovate conference is an international event organised by ”Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca under the umbrella of the NeurotechEU European University Alliance, in connection with International Women’s Day.
Taking place on 9-10 March 2026, this two-day hybrid event will bring together women in leadership positions from across the alliance, alongside researchers, clinicians, innovators, and decision-makers. The conference offers a dedicated space to explore how leadership shapes the future of neurotechnology, science, and society, while encouraging dialogue across disciplines, institutions, and career stages.
A space for leadership, dialogue, and connection
Through keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and dialogue-oriented sessions, the event aims to foster meaningful exchange, reflection, and collaboration. Rather than focusing on a single professional path or discipline, the programme highlights diverse leadership journeys in academia, healthcare, research, innovation, and beyond.
While the event places a special emphasis on women’s leadership, participation is open to all genders, in line with the European value of Unity in Diversity. Early-career researchers, students, senior academics, and professionals are equally encouraged to take part.

- Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students
- Medical residents and postdoctoral researchers
- Academic staff and research leaders
- Professionals from industry, administration, innovation, ethics, and science communication
