Neuroinnovation Summit & NeurotechEU General Assembly at Karolinska Institutet

The “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca will be represented at the Neuroinnovation Summit & NeurotechEU General Assembly, an event taking place on 11-13 May 2026, at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. The event will bring together representatives of the NeurotechEU member universities, academic partners, researchers, students, and relevant stakeholders from the European neurotechnology ecosystem.

Organised within NeurotechEU – The European University of Brain and Technology, the summit will provide a framework for dialogue and collaboration dedicated to the future of neurotechnology, with a focus on education, research, innovation, and the development of strategic partnerships between academia, the medical sector, industry, and society. At the same time, the Neuroinnovation Summit will create opportunities for exchanging ideas and good practices on the role of neurotechnology in health, education, technological development, and social impact.

The participation of the UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” delegation reflects the university’s active involvement in strengthening European cooperation in neuroscience and neurotechnology. As a member of the NeurotechEU Alliance, the university contributes to the development of joint initiatives aimed at training new generations of specialists, supporting interdisciplinary research, and connecting academic communities to the major challenges of the future.

During the General Assembly, representatives of the partner universities will discuss the strategic directions of the Alliance, ongoing projects, and the next steps in consolidating NeurotechEU as a European ecosystem for education, research, and innovation.

Through its participation in this event, UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” reaffirms its commitment to internationalisation, academic collaboration, and involvement in European initiatives that bring together medical knowledge, technology, and innovation.
