Part of the prestigious “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Faculty of Medicine in Cluj-Napoca is a modern and dynamic faculty. Medicine in Cluj is distinguished by excellence and care for patients, fundamental values stated by the founders of the Faculty since its foundation, but still present today in the daily work and development strategy of the Faculty.
The Faculty of Medicine holds the Diploma for Quality Recognition – CIDMEF Label, a certificate of quality and performance that takes into account the conformity of the educational process with the rules of CIDMEF (International Conference of Deans and Faculties of French-speaking Medicine), the institutional network of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF – Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie), which currently has 140 member faculties in 40 countries on 4 continents. It is the first medical faculty in Central and South-Eastern Europe to obtain this certificate of quality of the educational process.
With an expanding infrastructure – spacious lecture halls, European-level laboratories, access to successful clinics, fully computerized libraries, new student dormitories, student cafeteria, sports facilities – our faculty is the most representative in Transylvania, listed in category A at national level.
Graduation diplomas are recognised both in the European Union and worldwide, which gives our graduates the advantage of entering the labour market, allowing them to easily adapt to different public or private healthcare systems.
The modern, student-centred curriculum, adapted to European models, aims to personalise professional development according to the skills and aspirations of each young beneficiary. Student assessment – from the actual checks to the degree exam – seeks answers that are both theoretically and practically relevant. The practical nature of our teaching approach is an additional strength of our formative vision.
