The number of places available for transfer to the Faculty of Medicine, for the academic year 2025-2026, shall be as follows:

For the 2025-2026 academic year the transfer file will be submitted between 01.09 – 12.09.2025, at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine, str. Gh. Marinescu, nr. 23, parter, cam. 9, Cluj-Napoca.

The documents needed for the transfer file are:

1. Request (attached document)
2. The transcript of records signed by the university management from which the applicant comes;
3. Curriculum;
4. Analytical syllabus;
5. Language certificate, if applicable;
6. Medical certificate according to the specific characteristics of the study program;
7. Letter of recommendation from a teaching staff of the institution of which he comes, countersigned by the Dean of the relevant faculty;
8. Xerox copy of birth certificate and passport;
9. Copy of the highschool diploma and grades;
10. CNRED attestation on recognition of previously completed studies (Romanian citizens with foreign degrees, citizens of EU, EEA and Swiss Confederation);
11. Letter of acceptance for studies in Romania (third-country EU citizens registered under CPV);
12. Psychological opinion with specific tests for the Faculty of Medicine;
13. Copy of the Minister’s order on registration to the home institution (Romanian students everywhere, Romanian citizens abroad or Romanian citizens residing abroad who benefit from the status of “Romanian state scholarship”).
14. Letter of reasons;
15. Certificate of whether or not the student was sanctioned during his studies;
16. Proof of payment of the transfer fee

In relation to point 12, psychological opinion, for the psychological opinion candidates will submit a psychological opinion, obtained from a psychologist outside the university, including a personality description.

In addition, candidates will have an online career guidance interview in the Career Counseling Center. Interviews will be held strictly from September 1-11, 2025, Monday through Friday, by appointment at psychology@elearn.umfcluj.ro

Concerning the item 16, Transfer Fees, the transfer fee from other universities to U.M.F. “Iuliu Hațieganu” in Cluj-Napoca is 500 lei. The transfer fee can be paid at the university’s cashier’s office at 4 no, Louis Pasteur Street, ground floor or by bank transfer to the account (fees must be paid in LEI):

!!! IMPORTANT:

• At the „Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Cluj- Napoca students can be transferred from accredited higher education institutions according to the Education Law no. 199 of 2023 and the University Regulations in force.

• Only students without any overdue exams can be transferred to the Faculty of Medicine. For the assessment of the dossier, the applicant must have minimum overall average of 9,00.

• The student’s final academic mobility can be carried out within UMFIH from a study program with a higher number of ECTS credits to one with a lower number of ECTS credits (And not vice versa) according to the UMFIH Charter or from an accredited state university, from the same branch of science taking into account the compatibility of specializations, curricula and the application of the ECTS Guide.

• Candidates declared admitted after the admission contest and subsequently registered for study programs with the same number of ECTS credits will be able to change the study program, only on the basis of a new admission exam.
