{"id":44136,"date":"2026-05-08T00:00:30","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T21:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umfcluj.ro\/universitate\/about-us\/facilitati\/biblioteca\/serviciile-bibliotecii\/"},"modified":"2024-04-12T15:30:12","modified_gmt":"2024-04-12T12:30:12","slug":"library-services","status":"publish","type":"unv","link":"https:\/\/umfcluj.ro\/en\/university\/about\/facilities\/library-valeriu-bologa\/library-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BORROWING MATERIALS FOR HOME USE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any internal or external beneficiary registered with the Library may borrow library materials available in the lending rooms, respecting the status of publications, under the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>they have a valid library card<\/li>\n<li>they do not have any unreturned books<\/li>\n<li>they have no overdue charges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong> may borrow at home:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>up to 15 textbooks per semester, or strictly during the term of the module related to the major studied.<\/li>\n<li>a maximum of 3 books from the free bookshelf simultaneously, for a maximum period of 7 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The other categories of users may borrow at home a maximum of 3 books from the free bookshelf for a maximum of 7 days.<br \/>\nException: subjects may borrow a maximum of 3 books from the free shelf for a maximum of 14 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No home loans<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>magazines<\/li>\n<li>reference materials: dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes and bibliographic databases<\/li>\n<li>foreign and Romanian books for consultation only in the library<\/li>\n<li>documents in electronic format (CDs, DVDs)<\/li>\n<li>PhD thesis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Non-compliance with the terms of the home loan is penalized<\/strong> as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-return of books from the free shelf: 5 lei \/ day \/ book<\/li>\n<li>Non-return of textbooks: 0,5 lei \/ day \/ textbook<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Destruction or loss of documents<\/strong>, common cultural goods, by users is penalized by the physical recovery of identical documents or by the payment of the inventory value of the documents, updated by applying the current inflation coefficient, plus an amount equivalent to up to 5 times the price thus calculated.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.umfcluj.ro\/uploads\/2022\/03\/5.1-Anexa-Regulament-biblioteca.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Annex Library Regulation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.umfcluj.ro\/uploads\/2022\/03\/5.2-GHID-PENTRU-REZERVAREA-PUBLICATIILOR.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PUBLICATIONS RESERVATIONS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In order to reduce waiting times and to ensure the availability of a publication in the case of home loans, the library offers you the possibility of reserving documents in advance. Online reservation of publications is an option available to readers who have a library pass and can be done for publications on the free shelf that are borrowed at home &#8211; PUBLICATION RESERVATION GUIDE<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.umfcluj.ro\/uploads\/2022\/03\/5.3-cerere-Furnizare-de-documente-si-referinte-online.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PROVIDING DOCUMENTS AND REFERENCES ONLINE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the request of users the library can provide documents in electronic format by email such as: partial book\/chapters\/handbooks\/dissertation papers\/doctoral theses, articles, bibliography on request (in this case the request must contain the clear subject, the period of publication of the articles, the purpose for which it is requested).
